SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JULY 2-3: DRESSAGE CLINIC with HOLGER BECHTLOFFGerman Bereiter FN; German Federation Bronze/Silver Medalist; USDF Gold Medalist; Team Bronze at North American Freestyle Challenge in Gladstone.Born in Germany, now living in Wellington Florida, Holger has worked with many other masters, clinicians, and coaches and has competed on many top level Grand Prix horses. He dedicates himself to perfecting his teaching skills and assisting his students in setting and meeting their goals. Holger believes in encouraging each horse's natural abilities and in developing an individual training program for each horse and rider.$145 for private lesson; $20 to audit.

RIDE-CRITIQUE-RIDE with GUEST FEI TRAINERS. Dates to be arranged.What an opportunity to learn! Ride the dressage test (Novice through FEI) of your choice. Get a score and an in-depth critique from the judge. Then ride the test again for another (better!) score.

DRESSAGE CLINICS with MERI STRAZ - to be arranged.Meri is Frog Hollow Farm's resident clinician during the summer. She is classically trained and an inspiring teacher. Meri has experience in a wide-range of equestrian disciplines, including barrel racing, endurance riding and eventing. Meri taught dressage at Mt. Holyoke College for 8 years, and was the Coach and Instructor for the Smith College Dressage Team.Meri received her dressage training from the late, well-respected Dr. H.L.M. Van Schaik and from Gunnar Ostergaard. She has competed through the FEI levels and is a USDF Silver Medalist. Meri winters in Wellington, where she competes and trains with 4-time Pan Am Games Medalist Patrick Burssens. Meri's manner of instruction is thoughtful and kind. She is willing and able to explain the reasons for all the exercises that are performed in her lessons, so that the rider can work with understanding later on his/her own.

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, JUNE 15 AND 16TH. DEMONSTRATION & PRIVATE LESSONS with PEGGY CUMMINGS
Internationally-known author, equestrian instructor, clinician and originator of CONNECTED RIDING will give a 2-hour introductory demonstration of Connected Riding and Connected Groudwork principles and techniques on June 15th at 4 PM. $20. Susan Jaccoma has been riding since the age of six and has been competing at FEI Level Dressage for the past 15 years. Spanish Riding School To Tour U.S.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of U.S. General George Patton’s rescueof the famous Lipizzaner stallions, the Spanish Riding School of Vienna ismaking a tour of the United States this Fall. The dancing stallions will perform in six U.S. cities. Selection of Show Jumping Team Chef D'Equipe

Big news for showjumpers - the United States Equestrian Federation has selected Mr. George H. Morris of Pittstown, New Jersey to become the newChef d’Equipe for the United States Show Jumping Team. The search got underway last September, when Frank Chapot, who had served as U.S. Chef d’Equipe for 24 years, retired. Horseman Morris has had many years of experience and success both nationally and internationally as a rider, trainer and Nations Cup Chef d’Equipe.

Dressage Championships to be Contested June 16-18

Dressage enthusiasts will appreciate the 2005 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEFNational Grand Prix and Intermediaire I Dressage Championships, presented by Paul Miller, Inc., coming up in Gladstone, N.J. June 16-18. TheChampionships are the culmination of a series of qualifying events contested nationwide from summer 2004 through June 5, 2005. TheChampionships have been held for 15 years and have traditionally been used to select teams for international competition.
